Dear Teachers

Sharjah Private Education Authority is pleased to extend its warmest greetings to you…

In reference to Federal Decree-Law No. (18) of 2020 concerning private education—specifically Clause (11) of Article 11, which mandates private educational institutions to uphold Arab and Islamic values, public morals, and the traditions and laws of the United Arab Emirates—we would like to reiterate the importance of full compliance with these national directives.

All private educational institutions across the country are strictly prohibited from teaching or implementing any curricula, activities, or content that contravenes the values and cultural norms of the UAE. This includes, but is not limited to, topics related to homosexuality or any similar themes, which are subject to legal accountability under the prevailing laws of the state.

Accordingly, we urge you to thoroughly review all enrichment and supplementary curricula and activities approved within your school to ensure they are free from content that may conflict with national values and societal norms. Kindly ensure that all members of your administrative and teaching staff are clearly reminded of the need to strictly adhere to these directives.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and your commitment to upholding the educational mission entrusted to you.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best Regards,
