PEPS Community Celebrates International Day

International Day at PEPS

On Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, our school was adorned with colors, rhythms, and flavors from around the world as we came together to celebrate International Day. It was a vibrant and joyous occasion, showcasing the rich tapestry of cultures within our school community.

The heart of the event was our students, who enthusiastically participated in various activities representing their cultural backgrounds. From traditional dancing to musical performances, students showcased their heritage with pride and enthusiasm. It was a beautiful sight to see the diversity of talents and traditions on display, highlighting the global citizenship that our school fosters.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the dedication and support of our school staff. From organizing the event to guiding the students in their performances, every staff member contributed to making International Day a resounding success. Their commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment was evident in every aspect of the event.

One of the most touching moments of the day was the international food fair, where students, parents, and staff came together to share dishes from around the world. It was a culinary journey that allowed everyone to taste and appreciate the flavors of different cultures. From curries, Mansaf, Vine Leaves, pasta to sweet bites of Kunafa and Luqamat, the food fair was a true celebration of culinary diversity.

International Day served as a reminder of the beauty and strength that comes from embracing diversity. It was a day where differences were celebrated, and connections were forged across cultures. By coming together to share our stories, traditions, and experiences, we reaffirmed our commitment to global citizenship and understanding.

As we reflect on International Day, let us carry forward the spirit of unity and inclusivity that defined the event. Let us continue to celebrate our diversity, learn from one another, and strive to build a more harmonious and compassionate world, one cultural exchange at a time.
